Midstate Electric Cooperative Master Plan - LaPine, OR.
2005 “Building a Better Central Oregon” Design Award for Outstanding Energy and Environmental Design.

Steele Associates Architects designed this 20-acre Master Plan and all the buildings. RH Construction was the contractor. The LEED Gold certified Administration Building is the first LEED certified Project in Central Oregon history. According to Midstate, it is also the only LEED Gold certified Electric Cooperative in the country. nnovative sustainable features include a raised access floor and a demountable interior wall system intended to make future remodels easy and less wasteful. The building is designed to facilitate public tours. The plan features a 13,000 SF Administration Building a 22,000 SF Warehouse/Vehicle Storage Building, a 13,000 SF Maintenance Vehicle Shop, a 5,400 SF Equipment Storage Building, a 100 car parking lot split into visitor and staff areas, and a service yard for maintenance vehicles and equipment.
