Franklin Crossing, Bend, Oregon

Winner of a 2008 “Building a Better Central Oregon” Award for Most Dramatic and Creative Mixed-use Building.

Steele Associates Architects designed this highly articulated five-story, sustainable, 131,500 SF mixed-use building with a unique and timeless character befitting its Downtown Bend location. It consists of a 50-car underground parking structure, ground and second floor retail, third and fourth floor offices and fifth floor condominiums. Features include stunning mountain views, a five-story atrium, landscaped balconies, trellises, custom railings depicting local mountain peak profiles, sustainable design, and custom bronze castings of indigenous tree species that adorn the locally quarried stone piers between storefronts at street level.

“Kerr Oliver & Company has developed numerous office and mixed-use buildings using Steele Associates as our lead architects. They have exemplified a company that can meet our development criteria with innovative design, efficient and cost effective construction techniques utilizing both sustainable and standard building parameters.”
